Your theology credits are only a click away. It doesn’t matter where you live or when you’re available, you can attend classes online. Divine Word College offers fully accredited classes taught by experienced faculty in an online setting.

Courses are open to high school seniors and anyone with a high school diploma or GED. Courses are appropriate for pastoral ministers, lay ministers and other persons engaged in parish ministry. All you need is an internet connection and a desire to learn.



As a fully accredited academic institution by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), DWC offers credit for all online courses. The cost is $410 per credit hour. Or, you may audit the class for a nominal fee.

Studies the biblical, historical, and theological development of the Church in its redemptive role, structure, and ministry. Special attention is given to issues challenging the Church today – the magisterium, secularism, atheism, ecumenism, and the Church’s role and relation to other religions in a religiously pluralist context.    3 Credit Hours      Course Syllabus

Zografos,-Peter1square.jpgDr. Peter J. Zografos, Associate Professor of Theology and Chair of the Religious Studies Program, is a liturgical theologian, spiritual director, and community builder.

He received his doctoral degree from Barry University, Miami; and a Master of Divinity Degree from the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University. He is also an adjunct faculty member of the Graduate School of Theology and Ministry, Seattle University. Formerly director of Campus Ministry and an adjunct faculty member at Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio, Dr. Zografos also served as director of the Office of Evangelization and Worship for the Archdiocese of Anchorage. Prior to coming to Divine Word College, he had presented workshops on the Third Edition of the Roman Missal for the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions in partnership with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the FDLC, a member of the American Academy of Religion, and a member of the Catholic Theological Society of America.
