A Model Missionary
In September, we said farewell to one of the best. Fr. Joe McDermott passed away just a few months shy of his 100th birthday.
Fr. Joe was a model of what a missionary can be. . . should be. He devoted his early life to the people of Papua New Guinea and his later life to making friends for Divine Word College.
In this issue, you will read about Fr. Joe -- the incredible life he led and the legacy he's left.
You will also meet Bao Nguyen, a student who is venturing out of his comfort zone to discover his true talents.
