Biography

Fr. Jim was born in Beaver Dam, WI. He professed first vows as a Divine Word Missionary in September 1964 and was ordained a priest in December 1969. He taught religion and was involved in formation work in a high school seminary in Ohio before coming to Divine Word College in 1976. He taught philosophy and was a formation director and spiritual director. He was rector of the religious community from 1987 to 1990. He was then provincial of the Chicago Province and novice director. He returned to the college in 2009, and he served as rector of the religious community until August of 2014. He is currently a spiritual director and is teaching part-time.
