Assistant Professor of Theology |

The Department of Theology and Philosophy at Divine Word College Seminary invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Theology at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in the Fall 2027 semester. The initial appointment is for one year and is renewable, with subsequent appointments typically offered on a three-year contract basis. The teaching load is 24 credit hours per academic year, normally distributed as a 4-4 load during the Fall and Spring semesters. The successful candidate will regularly teach courses within the college's core curriculum and contribute to the department's offerings. Additional teaching responsibilities may be assigned based on departmental needs and the candidate's areas of expertise.

Qualifications: |

Preference will be given to candidates who hold a terminal degree (Ph.D. or S.T.D.) from an accredited institution in Systematic Theology, Historical Theology, Sacred Scripture, or a closely related field. Applicants must provide evidence of effective college-level teaching, a commitment to ongoing professional development and scholarly activity, the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and administration, and experience working in an intercultural classroom environment. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Catholic higher education and an ability to engage students from diverse cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds. |
