Maintenance Worker Full-Time

Divine Word College has an opening for a full-time Maintenance Worker. This position is an at-will employee of the College and is responsible for a variety of maintenance and janitorial duties.

Position description:  
  Coordinates and cooperates with the Vice President for Operations in arranging scheduled maintenance and minor repairs for all vehicles. Promptly attends to routine maintenance requests and repairs. Delivers and picks up vehicles from local service garages. Performs interior and exterior painting. Hauls, moves and stores furniture, equipment and supplies. Checks entire building for burned out light bulbs and replaces them. Assists with construction projects as needed. Performs minor plumbing repairs and maintenance. Checks all fire extinguishers and emergency lighting per state and local code. Coordinates with Housekeeping staff on projects. Other duties/responsibilities as assigned. 
 

 

Qualifications Include: High school diploma or equivalent required. Training in a major trade or experience in maintenance required. Must be able to take direction and work in a cooperative manner with a wide range of people. Be well organized, attentive to detail, able to work alone and on a team. Must be able to use a wide range of hand and power tools and equipment, as well as truck and tractor. Must have a valid driver’s license.
 
 
 


Full-time position benefit package includes life, medical, dental insurance, vacation, paid holidays, 403(b) Flex Plan and tuition exchange program.

Salary Range: $35,000 - $44,000 annually
