Assistant Professor of Communication

Position description:  
 

Teach undergraduate courses in Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Intercultural Communication, and Academic Writing. Other responsibilities include service on committees, student advising, and curriculum development within the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies.

Teaching begins in the Fall 2020 semester. The initial contract is for one year, and is renewable thereafter in three-year increments.

 
Qualifications:  
 

The successful applicant will possess a completed doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from an accredited institution of higher learning in Communication, Speech, Composition & Rhetoric, or closely related field. Applicants must provide evidence of effective teaching, commitment to professional development and scholarship, ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administration, and possess experience in an intercultural classroom environment.

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with candidate qualifications and experience and ranges from $50,000 - $55,000. Full benefits are included.
